Wrinkles: Causes and Home Remedies

Wrinkles are a natural part of aging. They can start as early as when you’re in your 20s. To help stop them, Dr. Ameesha Mahajan from RM Aesthetics has created a guide for us to follow. This includes treatments and products that will help keep them away.

Wrinkles are the lines, creases, and folds that form in the skin. As you get older, the skin becomes less elastic and more prone to wrinkles. Sagging becomes more noticeable, especially around the mouth and eyes. Wrinkles can be either dynamic or static. Dynamic wrinkles are the ones that you get while you are moving your face. They become static wrinkles if they stay for a long time. These lines are permanent and hard to treat, so don’t let them happen!

Many people get wrinkles when they are older because they have been in the sun for long periods or smoked.

How to Get Rid of Wrinkles?

Here are some ways to get it treated at your home:

Sunscreen: In the sun, UV rays cause wrinkles. That is why people need to use sunscreen. It affects your skin and can make it look young again. You should wear it every day at least twice a day.

Retinoids: Retinoids are the best way to reduce wrinkles. They are vitamin A derivatives that make your skin smoother and less wrinkly. It would be best if you only used them at night, not in the morning, and you must always wear sunscreen with them.

Antioxidants: Antioxidants are good for you. They can slow down or stop aging. You can use them at night or in the morning before your sunscreen. To have more antioxidants, eat foods that have them.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids: Glycolic acid, citric acid, lactic acid increase the skin’s cell turnover and help make new collagen. They make your skin smoother and less wrinkled.

Clinical Treatments For Wrinkles

Wrinkles are caused by aging. You can visit your dermatologist to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but this will not stop them from appearing.

Botox: Botox is a popular treatment that helps to reduce wrinkles. It is injected into specific muscles under the skin. Then it relaxes those muscles and stops the skin from folding into trim lines and wrinkles. This means that you will not have many wrinkles on your face anymore, or at least for four to six months.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers: A filler is a gel that can be put in the skin or deeper tissues. Depending on where it goes and what kind of filler is used, it can make the skin look better or make sagging tissues healthier. The results will last for one year or more.

Laser: Lasers stimulate your skin. They help with the appearance of lines, pores, dark spots, and texture. The skin will be red after the laser treatment, but it won’t be so red that you can’t go back to work right away.

Micro-Needling: micro-needling is when tiny needles are used to make your skin better. Usually, a lot of things are put on your skin when this happens. It can be done with the help of a special pen or with a roller.

Skin Boosters: Skin boosters are liquids that go on your skin. It makes it more elastic. It also reduces open pores.

Thread Lifts: Thread lifts are different from other options. They can make your face look younger than it was before.

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)- HIFU might be for you if you want skin tightening treatment without any needles or lasers. HIFU is a delicate process that uses heat to lift your skin and stimulate the body’s collagen-building process.

Facelift: A surgical facelift is a way to fix the skin that is not strong enough in the face and neck. When your skin and muscle get hurt, this can make your cheeks sag, or your jawline have weak points. A surgical facelift can fix these problems and also make your nose fold look smaller.
