Including pomegranate in your daily diet can have great effects on your health and skin. Pomegranate is good for the skin, too. It keeps you from aging and also cures acne breakouts. Pomegranates are also good for hair growth, and they strengthen hair follicles too.

This is because they contain powerful antioxidants found in other plant-based foods, such as berries and green tea. Pomegranates could improve your health from the inside out. This includes your skin, but there are limitations to many of the claims about online.

Antioxidants work by reducing the cellular damage in your body. Some antioxidants are vitamin C, tannins, ellagitannins and anthocyanins. These are best when eaten by eating the foods or drinking them. But some antioxidants can be applied to your skin too, and they may give you some benefits.

1. Skin brightening face mask

The arils of pomegranate are a natural way to make your skin brighter. It nourishes the skin and lightens all the blemishes and scars. This pack will also help exfoliate your skin and keep it bright. It is really effective for tanned skin too. Repeat this twice a week before bedtime for the best results.

How to Use: Put 2 tablespoons of honey and the seeds from 1 pomegranate in a bowl. Also, add a cup of oatmeal and 100 millilitres (ml) or about 3/4 cup of buttermilk. Grind all the ingredients to make it smooth. Apply it on your face and neck evenly. It can also be applied to your elbows and knees. Leave it for 10 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.

2. Hydrating hair mask

One of the benefits of pomegranates is that they contain punicic acid. This acid helps to make hair follicles stronger and give better circulation. It also deeply conditions the hair and cleanses your scalp. Pomegranate juice can help with frizzy and dry hair, as well as promote hair growth.

How to Use: Take a cup of yoghurt and pomegranate seeds. Add a little lemon juice to make them into a smooth paste. Apply the paste to your scalp and roots. Let it stay for 30 minutes, then wash it off with water. It will help your hair look flawless!

3. Pomegranate peel mask and scrub

Don’t ignore the peel of pomegranates. It is perfect for making your skin better and not have breakouts or acne. The peel of pomegranate promotes cell growth by preventing the breakdown of collagen. And it works well for stubborn pimples and acne scars too. The peel contains sun-blocking agents that protect your skin from harmful UV radiations, too!

How to use: You can get the first sundry peel before you make it into a powder. Or, if you don’t want to wait, grind it up and mix it with honey and lemon. You can also add the powder to a mask you make by mixing it with honey and lemon. You can use it as an exfoliator on your face or other body parts too.

4. Anti-ageing mask

Pomegranate peel is perfect for keeping wrinkles away, and it delays aging.

How to Use: Mix one teaspoon of pomegranate peel with a few drops of milk or rose water. Apply it to your face and let it dry. Wet your fingers in lukewarm water and rub the mask off. Use this mask 2 times a week for better results.

5. Facial scrub

Pomegranates are good for removing dead skin cells on the face. They help remove blackheads and whiteheads, which are sometimes called acne. Pomegranates do not cause any irritation because it is anti-inflammatory.

How to Use: First, take dried and powdered pomegranate peel in a bowl. Add brown sugar according to your need. You can also add 1 teaspoon honey and any essential oil for a paste. Rub it on your face, then rinse off with water. Your skin will feel soft and supple after scrubbing it. Apply a toner and moisturizer after you are done rubbing the mixture on your face.
