High Heels For Men: Elevator Shoes

I have always thought women are so lucky in that they can boost their height 2 – 6″ instantly by wearing high heels. Unfortunately, high heels for men to look taller are not common and are considered an oddity in society.

High Heels For Men

This gives women a huge advantage over shorter men in terms of looking taller.

However, there is a new trend for men that’s making it acceptable for men to wear high-heeled shoes, AKA elevator shoes.

Elevator shoes work like high heels for women, but with one incredibly important difference.

A woman’s high heels are eye-catching and open while a man’s elevator shoes are discreet and hidden.

How do elevator shoes work?

Elevator shoes for men have a thicker insole that discreetly elevates their height without being eye-catching.

The insoles can be many different materials with foam and rubber being the most commonly used materials.

Typically, the insoles rage from 1/2″ to 3″ in height that adds 1/2″ to 1″ in heel height.

In the end, this results in you getting an instant lift of 1″ to 4″.

The best part is, the lift comes from the insoles so it’s hidden and discreet.

You can add special insoles to practically any kind of shoe. However, shoes not designed for insoles can be uncomfortable, and bulky, and cause your feet to often slip out.

This is why elevator shoes are separately sold in stores and online.

Are high heels for men comfortable to wear?

Ask any woman if high heels are comfortable and the answer will be a solid NO from most women.

So, asking for elevator shoes to be as comfortable as sneakers or flats would be a stretch.

Even with a low lift insole of 1″, your heels will be above the soles of your feet. This is likely not going to feel natural or comfortable like a pair of running shoes.

The 2″ and above insoles feel exactly like women’s high-heeled shoes.

Some women claim platform shoes are quite comfortable.  This is probably because the whole length of the foot is on a flat plane instead of the heel being higher.

However, you lose stability from the extra lift, making jogging, running or any kind of activity challenging.

Unfortunately, high heels for men don’t have this platform effect. The reason is that no matter how discreet they are, the elevation is obvious from the outside.

The bad news…

This is embarrassing, to say the least, but elevator shoes are still not favorably looked at by most people.

What will you say to your new girlfriend when she realizes you’re 3″ shorter than she thought?

For short guys, discreet high heels for men can be the difference between hooking up with a beautiful woman or striking out every night.

Elevator Shoes With 1 Inch Insole Is Acceptable

However, if you stick to a smaller lift of around 1″, you can look and feel noticeably taller without looking like you are overcompensating.

Most people also will not really notice the difference with smaller lifts so you can wear it with more confidence.
