Getting big and shredded was always a dream for me. Well, every boy on this planet desires big arms. I was a skinny type from childhood. After turning 17, the fitness rage caught me.
I searched, researched and googled every way possible. Then I started some workout. I saw the results. The results were great. And there was this one exercise that I would thank to, that drastically evolved my upper body, gave me a muscular appearance and gave me incessant strength, Pull-ups.
PULL-UPS are upper body compound movements that strengthen the arms, chest, shoulders, core, neck, and wings. You don’t even need a GYM for that.
As a wise man once said,” PULL UP cos red bull doesn’t give you wings but pull ups do.”
I have literally seen people pulling on tree branches. Well, we have bars now.
A regular pull up has a front faced palm.
How to do it?
- Stand beneath a bar.
- Hold the grip and hang yourself to the bar.
- Keep the hand’s shoulder-width apart.
⚠️Precaution: Do not swing the body creating momentum while doing exercise. Else you can get yourself in dire straits.
- A regular pull up with your chin brought over the bar.
Narrow grip pull-ups
- The hands are closer than shoulder-width apart.
Knee twist pull-ups
- As you pull your body up, bring the knees towards the chest.
- Twist left and right and lower the body.
Ring/ Towel grip push-ups
For this, you’re gonna need gymnastic rings or a towel if you don’t have rings.
- Attach the rings or towel to the bar so you can hang on it.
- Grip the ring/ towel and pull up.
You can put on heavy chains on your body if you feel that was going easy for you.
Pull-ups require good strength but they also provide great strength. They build your body and definitely change the way you look.
